Hi to all, new member. I have a regency range gain II that i bought years ago and set on the shelf. ive finally got around to working on it, but have no power cord. ive seen a post on here for making an ac power cord, but it was a little vague on the position of the terminals on the back of the set. left to right? top row 1,2,3,4? i dont want to damage anything with a wrong hookup, so any help would be greatly appreciated. cant wait to get it on the air. have heard a lot of good things about this radio. thanks.

The numbers are marked on the power connector inside the radio chassis on the wiring side. They are very small numbers and probably hard to read.

OK, thanks anyway. I had seen a post with Spitfire 441, 2IR473 and Bigears discussing making a cord, but they were a little vague on the exact pinout of the connector. Like I said, I dont want to let the smoke out of this ol' set, so I'll be patient and see what come up. I wrote Bigears, but havent heard back from him. Again, thanks to all that responded.

I have sent a message to zcapri4me with the details of the Regency power plug wiring, and here are the details for everyone else. Suits Range Gain, Range Gain II, Imperial and Imperial II. See attached pic; Looking at power plug pins at back of radio, from left to right; V-V-H-H V-V-H-H Pin numbers are; 2-4-6-8 1-3-5-7 Wiring to 117VAC; Pins 1,4,7 connect together. Pins 5 and 8 go to 117VAC pwr lead. Hope that makes sense and helps someone else! Attachments:

Yes, thanks Bigears! Great graphics and explanation, more than I could have hoped for. I will make one this weekend and post how things went.
