Finally got my Uniden Tempo 2020 anchor rig on the air. So far so good. This radio was designed by Yaesu for Tempo/Henry radio and made by Uniden. It has a Uniden label on the back and the front meter has a Uniden label. Had to add the missing 11 meter "receive only" crystal that I got from JAN and add a jumper on the back of the band select wafer switch to get her to talk. This unit is very straight and has an overall clean look to it. I put a Bogen MBS-1000A high impedance desk mic on it for now. This rig has a lot of adjustments that I'm still familiarizing myself with. I sure do like the Hybrid design that uses a 12BY7A tube to drive two 6146B finals. Here's some info on it if you're curious: www.eham.net/reviews/detail/727

It drifts a little on warm up, but it is a great radio for sideband. Night Ranger

Got to run the 2020 on CCR last night and got some good audio reports. It appears to have a good receive but is much narrower than a regular CB radio. If any one was off frequency I had to adjust the clarifier but would almost cut out the operators that were on frequency . I was able to pull out distant stations way better this way though.
I'll have to post some pics. I think I need to have them hosted somewhere? Any sugestions for a decent picture hosting site? I'm used to just being able to up load pictures from the computer to a site.

And two more where that one came from. I'm kinda chasing my tail lately withe these things. I do have Greg's , NR6C, sprockets in one and was able to repair the others. One has the remote VFO attached. All have ....
...The dreaded 120cy. Looks like I'm about to be burried in cap replacements.
