WOW, guess my moonraker wasn't such a big antenna after all! I have seen some of the shore base station arrays for the land base marine station operation like WOO in NJ and they are pretty impressive. Before fuel became stupid expensive I running a lot of over night offshore charters for tuna and my wife knew how to reach me using the phone and telling the operator the channel I was listening to on the boat. It was very expensive though in those days so there was no time for phone sex! We are talking about 1992. The radio I had on the boat was an Icom-M-700-B single sideband rig. Still have it , and found after moving a few dip switches it worked on ALL bands! Well sorry I got side tracked but seaing the antenna arrays at this shore station was amazing and they handled radio traffic from all over the world. Have a great weekend.......Capt.Barry

I suppose this really shouldn't be posted in the "Antenna" section, but I was in awe of the set-up in the pics, and it reminds me of my house too. The towers are gone, but I wonder if there's any evidence of the footer(s) hidden in that flower bed? Google street view 1124 S. University Ave Denver

Although that may be wishful thinking.
