Hey Folks, I was wondering if you guys recording video gates could try something for me, please. In photography and film, there is something known as "bounce lighting." Basically, instead of using a direct light source that's pointed directly at your subject matter, a light source is aimed at the ceiling. What this accomplishes is giving your subject an ambient light source and cuts stuff such as reflections into glass WAY down or eliminates them completely. Unfortunately, in a few of the video gates, the S-Meter is being covered up by direct reflections of the light source, and it's also causing your camera to try and refocus all the time, Pete. That is, if you move a bit and change the direct-source lighting, the camera picks this up as a change in the image and it's refocus city . Anywho, this is just a suggestion, and if an indirect light source is not possible (such as an overhead light in the background), you can try turning off the overhead light and putting the light source behind your subject. Another thing u can try is turning off all lights completely and just using internal lighting of the radio; however, if you decide to do this, you might want to try filming at a slight angle, because the internal lighting can also disperse on the plastic or glass S-Meter, causing a big ole blob of light that still covers things up . 73, Randy AB5NI
