Unbelievable...... I've been reminded recently of how far removed much of the general public is with our favorite vintage CB technology. Twice I have had women point to the CB radio under my dash and want to know what it was. One of them was too young to be around in the 1970s and 1980s, and the other is the same age I am. My guess is the person who created that Ebay advertisement is just as clueless. Night Ranger

I sent him a message asking to confirm that the radio as pictured on the manual was not included. He responded that it was a mistake and he pulled the ad.

While CB radio was a household word and national fad in the 1970's, a whole generation of people grew up long after it died. These people are the same ones who stuff their iPhones into cassette players thinking it's a docking station. Forget 8-track tapes and records....... We're just getting old, while not realizing it, as we're happily humming along enjoying the technology of the 70's, while 40 years worth of technological change has gone on.

Every once and a while I'll contact a seller and ask them to clarify or amend their ad. Most of the time they are clueless. Last week a seller corrected his NIB descriptor after I reminded him what NIB actually means. The radio was clearly well used.
