I recently got back on this forum..and then back on the air. As I put up an Antron 99..a tree took down my VQuad after15 yrs. But I fired up one oldie after another.Comstat 25B. Teaberry T. Robyn T 123,the first one..Tram 27E...then the tram d60 mobile..browning baron mobile(transistor).they all sounded great according to all my locals here..who hadn't heard me in years either. All my local friends run newer rigs.. No tubers ...but they all where really surprised how good and loud these radios sounded. I also noticed with the older rigs I was hearing farther than the newer radios...farther then I could talk..my Antron was just barely above my roof at 32 ft. It goes to show ya older radios got better ears...Great fun DQRR.

welcome back! It is a fun and interesting hobby I agree. I like the classic CB radios as well as the new ones One of my older shack photos....much has changed since then.
