A friend has got a beam antenna that the elements go thought the mast. It is not a Jo-Gunn antenna. The mast is round not square. What other company made an antenna with the elements thought the mast. 238

For a beam to have decent gain, and decent front/back rejection, it's going to have to be fairly large. The smallest beam I would go with is a 2 element quad (like a PDL), or a 3 element yagi, both have at least an honest 8db gain. If all the room you have is 1.5' to turn an antenna, you might as well stick with an omni. Any shortened, coil loaded compromise beam that would fit in that space is not going to have any more gain than a decent omni.
