Missing knobs...... But if it's clean inside, it's a decent radio. The AM-Only version of the Imperial. Uses a reduced carrier transmitter that has a lower dead key but swings forward. Typically 2.5 watts dead key, swings to 12 watts. Makes for very punchy audio.

Super CB tube type radio and fairly rare. I own one. Best sensitive & clear sounding tube receiver I ever used. It has push-pull receive audio and push-pull transmit modulator. Very few radios used more expensive PP. Sonar FS2340 is another with this PP design. 2 watt dead key to 10 watt peak (factory states more peak power) drives amps very well. I would buy it if reasonably priced. If you get it, let us know what you think about it.

That seems a bit high to me for a rig without SSB. But in today's market, it may sell for that much.

$100 is better, but $125 for guaranteed working is ok. Radio looks like it will clean up to very good condition. Offer $100.
I bought my Regency Range Gain II (see picture in my avatar) for $100 shipped from original owner. He stated after little use for one year radio had no audio, but meter showed receive. I figured audio tube failed. And, I was right. New pair 6AQ5s and radio works perfect. Stored in a box for all these years, radio looks new.

Just looks dusty to me but the old electrolytic caps will need replaced eventually. I like 'em at $75. Profitable CB Information: I spy an old tube Executive CB in the background of that pic. I'm always aware of the possibility that if there are other radios in the background of the sale photo and the seller declares "untested" "may work" "worked last time used" "no power cord" "no mic" "no antenna to test" it was probably indeed tested and didn't work and/or needs work and the seller kept the power cord and the mic for themselves.

I have a Range Gain II for sale for $125. It looks new, have new rebuilt power supply and many new tubes. I will include the $30 mic connector. Works perfect with over 15 watts peak output.

I went to go look at it and this guy is a radio hoarder. He builds very nice HI FI Tube amplifiers from the ground up including board and cabinets, amazing work! I’m going back next week to look over a few radios and test them (will bring dummy load, bird and counter) then he said he will give me non working prices on everything even if it works.

You might be better off not testing it. He may be more inclined to drop the price further on a non, or questionable working radio, than one that works. I like em cheap. Let someone else get ripped off.....

Right on. Get it cheap and dont look back. Ive had my fill of sellers. They can take their diamond encrusted, "very rare",one of a kind, Mint condition, new old stock, highly collectable, untested, really clean from a nonsmoker and recently performance tuned antique piece of crap. Just another shot in the dark...maybe good, maybe not but YOU WANTED IT ! And they know. So if you got a Guy thats willing to share his treasure with you at a reasonable rate DO IT ! 321
