I have heard you can change R35 the 47k half watt resistor to a 100 k half watt resistor in conjunction with the coupling cap C45 (.001) to a .1 ceramic disc. What numbers would a .1 ceramic disc have on it for this application? Has anybody tried this? It is supposed to really help the audio. Is it worth doing?

There are a few Browning audio mods. Some call for disabling the clipper and others state changing a few disc capacitors. Very little info out here on Browning audio mods. Some of the purists get mad when you want to mod a Browning. Some of us have browning's that are in fair to poor cosmetic condition and are not collectable. These are perfect candidates for experimentation. Unfortunately, no one ever explains what is good/bad/etc. about some of these Browning mods floating around on the internet.
