Hi I have just got hold of a Expert 8500 home base that I believe is the same as a Roybn ST 540 but it's only got 4 pins in Mike sockets unlike the Robyn has anybody got any idea what the mikey wiring is just in case it has voltage. Regards Dave 26. AT. 105.

Regards Dave 26. AT. 105. Hmmmm..... I've never heard of an "Expert" brand radio. Is that the manufacturer's name or the model of the radio? I managed to find a picture of it, and I would agree it's an identical clone of the Robyn SB540. If I were to hazard a guess, I'd bet that the mic wiring will be the same as the "Cobra" standard, since pretty much any of the Pacific Rim made radios as of late, have pretty much conformed to that standard.

I didn't see much info on it, but:
I too would agree on the standard 4 pin Cobra wiring.
