Good call on R322. I stayed with a 2 watt, but replaced it and works awesome!!!! Thank Sandbagger!!! Now if I could figure out what mod they used to add the dip switch in the rear to push the final it 10 watts. I think I would rather remove it and keep this thing clean and unique like many of us !

If I replace R322, it is almost white btw lol...Can I use a 5 watt over the 2 watt? I do have both, but for some reason I got a 5 watt.
thanks

Hi everyone! I have been gone for several yrs, but one WONDERFUL divorce later and a girl friend who wants me to actually have my hobby again, I am back.
So as I have been getting the old shack cleaned up and ready to run again I still have an issue that I never got resolution on. One of my 201A's has great SSB, both trans and receive, but the AM has no receive. It transmits fine. I replaced V400 and V401 and still have the issue. I noticed that V400 barely has any light to the tube, filaments just barely glow. I was thinking I will also need to replace T400.
Does this sound logical?
Thanks!

HI Alan, been looking for you tonight! DX is really rolling through here. I tried a different brd from another Tram I have, same issue. So I turned R719 all the way counter clockwise..it's is working MUCH better, still not a full 12 watt peak..and I am thinking having R719 all the way over isn't too good of a thing either

I turned it 100% counter clock wise and it is MUCH better, but should it be at 100% counter clock wise?

Hey Marc!! I see you PM'ed me, sorry I haven't gotten back to you..been working my butt off! I took today off for my birthday and figured I might as well play alittle! I already replaced them all, I am wondering if I have a cold joint or something....I have another brd I am going to slip in there to test in a bit. Conditions here in Nebraska are great right now!

Guys, My AM transmit is awesome! But the transmit on SSB is roughly 2-4 watts via Daiwa CN 101L meter. The book says the BM brd. Anyone know where to start to look on the BM brd for the issue? Everything else works very well and SSB USED to work well on this radio too. Any ideas on where to start?
I was wanting to do some DX today as the conditions are awesome in Nebraska!! thanks guys!!

There is a guy on Ebay that sells replacement wire for the rear elements. I think I paid 24 bucks, the only difference is they are custom cut not on big long piece. They have loop connectors etc..may be a better design, I don't really know. I don't think they are copper.
Do a search for moonraker 4 under the antenna section in CB radio..

Interesting, so I was 1:1.2 and with the new cable it didn't even move. Also the new cable is 18 in and the old one was 3 feet....It only affects the cable that runs from the radio to the...ah...amp the rest of the jumpers have no effects at all.

So I ordered new RG-213 jumpers and now my deadkey went down! I went from a normal 10 watt ( 2510) to 7 3/4 with the new jumpers...anyone have any ideas?? Also my SWR dropped a tad, but it was so low anyway it's not really a factor

I fell pray to something like that about 11 yrs ago. Once I got it home I found out it was just a mess! I ended up giving it to Joe (one of our members) to see if he could see if it was even worth being a parts box. I have learned from being on this site what to really look for.

If there was damage, any ideas on how if would present it's self? This could be what I have been chasing for 7 months......Foe example, tonight I couldn't receive much ( it was very quiet also) so I keyed a walkie-talkie and it received that and I got some feedback as well..but I have had issues really receiving. If I pull out the squelch knob it gets better, but it just doesn't seem to work right.
Thanks guys!!!

I have a 33 in there now and it is perfect....but the volume issue happened after I did this. And when the first resistor went *pop* the volume went too....just wondering if I may have done something stupid yet again..I am getting good at that!
