A friend owns a imax 2000 it is on a crank up tower mounted about 10 feet above the tower. At 35 feet the swr is 1 to 3, when cranked up to 60 feet the swr jumps to 1 to 5, with no obstructions surrounding the area. No grnd plane attachment on the antenna either. What would cause the jump in the swr increasing the height. DOCTOR/795

Thats wierd. I had ,my Maxx 2000 up on a 30' push up pole and the SWRs were about a 1.4=1 when it was near the ground but went down to a 1.1=1 when up in the air 30'. Did he tune it when close to the ground?
