Well guys my wife and daughter took me to see the movie "Marley and Me" yesterday as one of my Christmas presents. I had seen the previews on TV and being the Lab Lover that I am (I have three) I wanted to see the movie. This was the best Christmas present that I have ever received as an adult, and the best movie that I have ever seen. The movie made me laugh, cry and made me realize why I love my three boys (Labs) so much.
From the previews it looks like a real funny movie, and it really is. But it has a very sad side to it as well. There wasn't a dry eye in the house during and after the movie. That's right, this movie made the Grump cry like a baby!
So if you're a dog lover this is a must see movie. Want to show your soft side to your wife or girlfriend? Take her to see this movie. Come on tough guys .... I dare you!!!

I have a wonderfal yellow lab (you can see him on my icon with the wilson 1000 on his head). I will not go see the movie for the reason that I heard how it ends. I am too attached to my dog to see something like that. I don't even want to think about that day.

Trust me guys, there is more fun in this movie than sad. It is a great movie. I am very attached to my three boys. They eat, sleep and hang out with me 24/7. Heck I can't even go to the dang bathroom without the one tagging along (I know... you didn't need to hear that part ;D) But really, this movie is great for a family. And trust me, I understand about never wanting to think about that day. If you have a dog and love them like I love mine, you will love them even more after you see this movie!

thanks for the info, Grumpy. But I have a question. Can you get you dogs to hold a wilson 1000 on their head?

I had a dog that actually keyed down a mike and barked. Chiba - a retriever/husky mix. That was probably one of my best memories of my old Sonar radio ... chiba jumping up on the table, inadvertantly pressing down on the mike key, and barking when I moved the 20oz of steak that was on the table (which I have no doubt she would have absconded with).
