thank you its a very neat radio especially the modulation meter on the transmitter it reads like a scope. I had the radio done up by my tech mark 3. I have an extra transmitter, receiver, and ex speaker and a d-104 for sale for 250.

Very cool station, Railroader. I had that on my acquisition list before the economy went sideways, so I will just look at your setup for now. How do you like your tech, and how long have you been using him?
I was also noticing what looks like the Sonar off in the right side of the pic. Which one is that?
Regards, Midnight

well I have been using a guy that goes by the handle of Mark 3 I have been using him for about 6-7 years now, alittle expensive but worth it he has been in the cb for 50 years now belive it or not.
The sonar on the right is a FS-3023, but I also have FS-23, FS-2340, E, G, and H
Do you live around Chicago?

Does anyone know anything about the Scout 20 amplifer? How watts it puts out and how much drive to put in it?

S.O.S. Electronics made the Scout 20 amplifier. It's a low drive amplifier, so using anything more than 4 or 5 watts is pushing the tubes. Depending on the condition of the tubes, you might see about 450-500 watts, maybe more depending on your drive levels.
