Well he is either flexing his fictional writing skills, or he is nuts. I'm not sure which one applies. Does anyone remember the "Space moves like this. O /\ + \/ O" spammer from the late 1990s? Speaking of EBAY goofballs, anyone read this one?....Especially the product description.. I think he must have tried the experiment by the moron mentioned in another thread about playing with the 9 volt batteries... If nothing else, the description has to be the best anti-drug commercial I've ever read.

I'll give him credit, he sure is persistent. But he's also nuts........ It does not cost anything to re-list, and Ebay will automatically relist an item if it does not sell. Speaking of absurd, I purchased a grab box of CB stuff for about $50.00 a few years ago. It had two mobile amps, a Glen 326-g VFO, and several CB radios. The previous owner was deceased and the whole box was offered up for $50. Anyway the Glen 326-g VFO works, but it drifts, the fine and course adjustments are touchy, and two LED segments are burned out. I started to throw it away last week, but I thought..."What the heck, some sentimental CB'er might want to fix it up". Anyway I posted it on Ebay with an accurate description of it, and I stated it was going to need some servicing. I asked $25.00 for it since that was about all I figured it was worth. Well the Ebay bidders have run it up to $101.00. It does work, but not well. I just hope whoever wins the auction is'nt too disappointed when they get it. I told the truth. Here is my Ebay ad. www.ebay.com/itm/121159176893?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649By the way Sandbagger, my very nice condition Midland 13-885 is up for sale along with my Soltronix 90-1 VFO. Time to trim down my collection, and make some space. Night Ranger Uh-Oh......... There are only a few reasons why a man "thins the herd" on his various hobby collections. 1. Wife pressures. But that doesn't apply in your case - unless............ 2. Loss of interest. Say it isn't so! 3. A new hobby has replaced the old. (see #2 above) 4. Needs money. Hopefully that's not the case.......

I decided that no additional "toy" purchases could be made unless I financed them with money I made off selling my excess CB and ham toys. Night Ranger

Night Ranger I can see where "too large" of a collection might be an issue. That's part of the reason why my collecting interests are limited to only those radios which made an impact on me back when I could do little more than salivate over their pictures in catalogs, or have fond memories of the people who once owned similar rigs. There are only a handful of additional radios that I'd like to own, and I'll patiently wait until one comes along in decent shape at the right price or trade opportunity. Realistic TRC-40 (Navaho Pro) Lafayette Telsat SSB-25(A) Heathkit CB-1 (Lunchbox) and MAYBE...... Realistic TRC-47 Pace 223

they guy with the Regency on Fleabay is certainly a persistant guy.
I have reached a point in radio collecting that has reached saturation. Realistically there is not much more room. I like the rigs I have, some need to be gone over again. There is certainly enough here to keep me busy and out of trouble. I am keeping my eye open (read: my temptations are..) for the right regency tube rig I don't have or any Metrotek radios I don't have. I really do enjoy switching up radios from week to week on Classic Radio Round Up.

Son of a gun.... My well used Glenn 326-G VFO sold on Ebay for $143.75! I only asked $25.00 for it, and I considered tossing it in the trashcan. I said in the ad it was going to need some restoration. I hope this does not turn in to negative feedback on Ebay. I told the truth, and it was the Ebay bidders that ran the bid up. That thing drifts as bad as an old Swan 350 drifty in January. Oh well.

You got a darn god price for it. As long as you were as upfront about it in the listing as you said, I don't think you'll have a problem.

I love the way they say for parts. What parts, the knobs? I was fortunate with my buys on ebay. I had 2 DOA radios and 6 pristine vintage radios that were perfect. Now I will buy my 10 meter radios off a shop 20 miles away. I made an offer to someone on this site, for has radioi and 2 twins of mine that work. I want to cull the heard a little.as far as cb radios go.
