I did see a cb at Radio shack ; but now you have to order. Those Uniden radios are ok after a peak and tune. Home depot is good at taking things back.

RS is about useless any more, especially the clerk, only thing they want to sell you is a cellular phone, expect more RS to close this year, if they stuck with the parts, a line of cb and the 10 and 2 meter radios they would make it, but now I rather doubt it. DOCTOR

Here is an example of how Radio Shack loses customers.
I went down to my local RS to pick up a HDMI cable for my TV. Looked around and grabbed their top o' the line Monster cable. Went to the counter to pay and the clerk asked me if I wanted the extended warranty for it. I politely refused. Clerk asked a second time and again I said no thank you. With a third "Are you sure?", I replied yes, I don't want it just ring me up. The manager walked over and said "You should buy the extended warranty on this so you don't have to spend more money when the cable fails". I replied, "I'm not interested, and since this cable just lays there I doubt it will fail." He replied. "Well if it were me I'd buy the extended warranty".
At this point I had enough, so I just told them they could keep their cable, and walked out the door. Went down a few stores in the strip mall to Staples and bought a HDMI cable from them, no hassles.

I went in to Radio Shack to get a replacement DC power cable for a CB radio. They wanted $13.00 for it plus tax. I purchased one off Ebay instead for $6.75 and that included shipping. Sometimes you can get deals, though. Almost 10 years ago I wanted to pick up a 102" whip, so I went to RS and asked. There were none listed in the computer, but the manager looked in the back and found three in their tubes. He told me if I took all three he'd let them go for $5 each. I grabbed them.

I don't think the CBs that they are selling at the RS stores are Unidens anymore. They look like a Uniden but I read somewhere they were cheap Chinese stuff and do not modulate well... This RS TRC 446 rig "in the box" has been up for sale locally for months: reading.craigslist.org/for/3976364442.html
