Hello Gentleman; I just acquired a ARF 2001 cb in good condition. It came with a KLV400. Unfortunately the seller could not find the mic he bought it with. From Internet research it originally came with a modified D104. Any one know of something I could use as an alternative? Or a original mic? Any info or any help appreciated Cheers!!!!!! Rich

If I remember correctly the ARF used a modified Astatic and ran the power from the rig to the microphone pre-amp (like the Brownings do).
Without knowing the voltage the ARF has going out, I cannot tell you if you could just feed the power into the regular preamp. My suggestion would be to just use a regular pre-amplified Astatic and see if that works.
Never wired one myself, they were a rare rig.
