Pennsylvania skip to South Carolina on channel 13 - 12/16/2013. The skip was in for at least an hour, but for the first 30 minutes I had two bozos down south making dumb noises with their echo boxes. I edited them out of the video.

KATO808 #DeepInTheHeartOfTexas Technically, It's "illegal" for any of us to talk skip on 11 meters, much less use noise toys, use more than 4 watts, talk on "extra" frequencies etc... ;D Recently it seems to be an epidemic of noise toy skip from south of the border...Not really a whole lot we can do about it...Since laws governing operations on 11 meters vary widely from country to country around the world, whats illegal here isn't necessarily illegal somewhere else....We just have to "Grin and bear it" or turn our beams away from it ;D .

Richy rich is from upstate ny somewhere and if I ever meet him I'm gonna put a hammer through his freaking radio. He powers through to Texas almost every day and says absolutely nothing for hours on end.

KATO808 #DeepInTheHeartOfTexas Are you talking about this DX HORN that quite a few folks run? www.youtube.com/watch?v=FC48EnzwfbQThat's alright we have to listen to the Cancer Man CB shop out of Texas on Ch 19 for hours and hours on end, over and over, day after day after day, talking about "adding Mosfets, dual finals and kickers inside the radio that add up to 20-30% better receive also" so it evens out. I feel your pain so just shoot me now...

Oh my gawd yes....only I hear it for literally hours on end sometimes....I don't mind a funny noise toy but to just key up making that hellashious sound is annoying.

Actually I'm glad there are still some good people that run channel 19 while I'm out and about ;D
On my recent trip out to Pittsburgh from Philly, I was alerted to several road hazards well before I reached them. I didn't even need to use the regular (music) radio as there was interesting and funny conversation most of the way.
Running a mobile CB on Ch 19 is just something I've done ever since I started driving.

Usually I'll run the RF gain back a way to get rid of the noise, and keep an ear out for traffic issues. I had to watch it when my daughter was little as sometimes the language could get a bit rough......
