I too keep an air chisel on the bench just for that type of mod. It's a definite time saver.

I too keep an air chisel on the bench just for that type of mod. It's a definite time saver. I just did a similar "mod" to my 1997 or 1998 HP 890c printer. It has been a good printer, but lately it was giving me more wasted paper and aggravation than printed material. The last straw came last week. Once I was finished "modding it" I had to make several trips to the trashcan to take all the various pieces that were left of it. My new all in one printer works great though. -Night Ranger
