Are they in your neck of the woods? Yes. "21/Dirty Diaper" wanted to have a local classic radio night. Night Ranger Cool! Looks like you have a good group of vintage radio enthusiasts... Was that you in the beginning on the Royce 602?

Nice. I hear Dirty Diaper from time to time. I would assume he is the only one with that handle on the east coast.

South Carolina Old Radio Night - March 12, 2016 I was out of town for the Charlotte, N.C. Hamfest, so I am not on the video.
I got out cheap from the Charlotte, N.C. hamfest. I found a new/unused Radio Shack DSP-40 auto notch filter for $30 for my sideband mobile, and 10 feet of 16 gauge ladder line for a future antenna matching section. I talked myself out of buying a nice Henry 2KD Classic amplifier.

South Carolina Old Radio Night - April 14, 2017 Night Ranger Uh-oh.... he had the Elkin running. All knobs to the right Captain! That Six Tube Elkin is perfect for my "Redneck Radio Setup" and one of my on the air alter egos. Expect to hear from my redneck alias during one of this summers Sporadic E Classic Radio Roundups. "He" will be located in a trailer park and running a six tube Elkin. Don't ruin my fun immediately with the other CRR locals. I'll eventually tell them it's me. Also "Dixie Rebel" or "Ladybug" will probably make a return check in to "Lady's Night" as well. Night Ranger

But if you really want to pull that off, you'd need to clip the modulation limiter in the "redneck" radio, and drive the Elkin with a JB-12...... I could duplicate "World Famous Eyeballer"'s setup. He was using a four tube Elkin and driving it with an RCI-2950 with an amplified hand mic. Of course to match him perfectly I'd have to be constantly fight the mic squealing. This is a recording of "World Famous Eyeballer" with his four tube Elkin, and his squealing RCI-2950 with an amplified hand microphone from 1996. www.shadowstorm.com/cb/mp3s/The-Einstein-Club.mp3To stop my Krazy Kraco from squealing with the 6 tube Elkin I had to snap four ferrite chokes on the Turner +3 desk mic cord. The same radio and mic does not do that with the D&A Maverick. Night Ranger

South Carolina "Old Radio Night" - Friday April 21, 2017. I'm using a Regency CR-230 23 channel mobile from 1975 or 1976. This is the same model radio I was using on my December 1981 CB recording of " The Devil attempts to put Lounger off the CB radio" listed on my web page. Night Ranger

Night Ranger, I've been shouting for ya when skip is rolling that way. What channels do you frequent again? I tried CH 12 but I see you run CH 24 or CH 25 for SC old radio night? Every Friday night?
Sparky out.

Sparky out. Old Radio Night is on channel 12 at 08:00 p.m. eastern time. It is usually on Saturdays, but it has also occurred on Fridays. Night Ranger
