Well, as luck would have it, I will not be able to make tomorrow (6/21) night's CRR. Softball tournament in north Jersey starting Wednesday afternoon, which means I'll be out of town . Hopefully Pete will 'gate it, and I'll get to hear what I missed....... I missed it too. On vacation.

No gate but we had a good turn out. I ran my Uniden Grant. Skip was there once and a while and we had a Missouri DX check in by Creek Bottom of Mr Murphy fame.

Sorry I missed it, but life gets in the way sometimes. I do want to clarify something I heard though, 6146 tubes are NOT sweep tubes. They are an audio and RF amplifier not used in TV's. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. 441 6146 data sheet

It was obvious that you were not manning the controls. But I appreciate you setting it up for us.

Summer style turnout last night on CRR. Probably about dozen folks in all. Got a DX check in from 454 in the Sand Pile. There was a new local operator check in that was running a stock radio, but his handle escapes me at the moment. He mentioned he has been listening in for a while and is getting back into the CB radio hobby. Other check-ins included Bite Buster, Rooster & Stray Cat. Ranger, Renegade, Skeeter, 217 and I hung in there pretty late.
I ran the Regency Imperial with the matching stock mic for most of the evening.
Smoke Stack said a farewell as he and his family are moving down south very soon. He wasn't sure he would be checking back in before they leave. We will miss you Smoke Stack.

Obviously, I was not in attendance, as I was in Ocean City Md, with the softball team taking part in the USSSA world series. I will not be around next week either as I'm heading up to the lake (gotta get my summer fun in while I still can). I take it Pete was a no-show as well so no video gate . Oh well, good to see some new people getting into (or back into) CB radio fun.

Forgot to mention 305 was in there as well. He's becoming a regular on 13...good deal

Another good CRR last night. Check-ins included 44 Dave (right at the very beginning but I was setting up and missed him) Ranger, Ron, Byte Buster, Slammin' Sam, Rattlesnake, Shrek, 119, Night Train, Stray Cay, Skippy, Roust-About and Scooby-do from the Delco crew. I'm sorry if I missed anyone. I ran a Royce 642 "Grumpy Memorial" base station that had some reported good full range sounding AM audio. They are great looking radios for sure. Since I was a few minutes late, I just tossed it on top of last weeks Classic Radio, haha. A cluttered bench is a sign of sanity so Pile'em high!

Mobile Roundup last night in Delco! Buffalo Bob, Renegade, Bear, Magnum, Fast Eddie, and myself No Streak. It was a last minute thing put together. About six of us met up in Thornberry Park, in Thornberry Pa. Elevation about 500 feet low noise and great spot to check into the Classic Roundup with the Pottstown Boys. Totally enjoyed being able to join in the Classic Radio Roundup Gang! Great talking to Spitfire,Night Train, Sandbagger. Thanks to all the guys up there for letting me checkin, OH Mannnnnnn!

I've been wanting to do a mobile CRR theme for a while now. Maybe we'll get something going before the warm weather ends. Good hearing you guys (the ones I could hear anyway), and it's a shame we didn't know about it sooner or we might have crashed the party.....

Yeah like I said it was kinda last minute thing put together with four of the six. And then as we were heading up to the spot we got two more to show. I was just asking Renegade that afternoon if I was up by his location could I hear you guys in Pottstown and he said hell yeah. So from that Buffalo Bob said hey Mike I'll meet you up there too. So it kinda grew from that but it turned out to be a good gathering. Plus got to check into the Classic Radio Roundup as well OH MANnnnnnnn! It was nice to be part of the Roundup instead of trying to listen and maybe make it with all I got. Good times!

Last nights CRR Roundup was kinda light but that's to be expected this time of year. With people going on vacations. Was parked on the Hill in Thornberry Pa. great spot. Talked to Spitfire,Ranger, Rooster, Wrench and some skip stations. Buffalo Bob met me on the Hill. So we used his radio to join the Roundup because he has More Power he brought in the pump house lol. It looks like the CRR Roundup EyeBall will happen on August 30th for next weeks Roundup. At the Lionsville Wawa on Route 100 & Rutgers Drive. We have couple people that have thrown there hat in already. So hopefully have a good turnout.

It's CRR time again. Today is a special day for the CB'er at heart. It's 10-4 today, so in honor of that, our theme tonight will be 10-code night, so dig out those old code sheets, and we'll go from 10-1 to 10-100 and all point in between.....

Interesting that the Stoner & the ARF have similar LED modules in their displays. Nice set of radios there No Streak.

The colder night time temperatures can only mean one thing, TUBE RADIOS! It's a sure bet that I'll be running glowing glass tonight, at least for the 1st hour. Not sure if it'll be one of my Tram Titans or my Browning. Tune in at 8:00 to find out.........

Well thank you Sparky it has taken 10 years to get back what I sold. They work well and I’m very lucky to own some of the best radios that CB companies had to offer. And I probably talked more SSB lately than I have ever done in my 34years on CB. They call us the Chicken band but I think there way more personality and way more diversity than Ham bands. And surely a lot more fun hands down! They are no Chickens here because you have to have thick skin to survive on this band. Enough said thank you for making the band what it is guys, catch you on the air! 10-4 driver

Fun fun fun. I ran a Sexy Stalker XX Euro Version AM/FM/SSB. It still has the wonky 240 VAC plug on the end with an adapter to plug into a standard US 120VAC outlet. The internal power supply was re-fitted with a 120VAC transformer to run on 120VAC. This one has a black case and face. Some had wood grain cases and face plates.
I'd post a pic but got this error message from ProBoards:
"Unable to upload file Teaberry Stalker XX.jpg.
Error: This forum has exceeded its attachment space limit. Your file cannot be uploaded" Oh no. My single pic was only 127 KB (130,114 bytes) Hmmm.

The only thing I can do is go back over older posts and start deleting attachments until we recover enough space to add new ones again. Also, when adding pictures, please reduce the file size to a reasonable amount. No need to upload a 4000 X 3000 size pic when the forum limits the size anyway. Pic file size should not exceed 250 KB when all is said and done.

I wonder if all those Photo Bucket pics that don't show anymore are still logged as large .jpg files? That would not be cool. Is there a one time fee that would allow us to gain more storage for photos?
