Looking for a suggestion for a base antenna. I live in the mountains of New Hampshire... lots of snow and ice... frequent winds... needs to be able to take a wallop. Not running an amp. Primarily for DXing on 38lsb.

Jay in the Mojave's Interceptor-10K was probably the strongest antenna I ever had, it held up to plenty of winter weather including multiple ice storms. I doubt you can get them any more, but their website is still up: www.a1antennas.com/And Mr. Coily builds a pretty strong base antenna, too. Never had one, but I know people that do and love it. www.mrcoily.com/

I think that Mosley makes great antennas & the materials are 2nd to none. GROUND PLANE - DP-275-27 - "Devant Special" 11 Meters Look it up & remember that Mosley has been in business over 70 years & they are still going strong. You don't sell JUNK & stay in business that long. Their antennas are built to outlast you & the next couple of owners after you. www.mosley-electronics.com/cb_27_mhz.htmlSIX-SHOOTER
