Wt, thank you for the card and acknowledgement. I appreciate all the help ive gotten from you guys. You have been a great source of insight and experience. I hope to get more involved with ham.i will be attending my first skywarn meeting and i just joined arrl. My radio passion has always been cb,im sure you know that by reading my posts, but the right and natural progression is for me to become a ham and learn what it is. I prefer phone privileges over anything else and i truly love skip via atmospheric propagation (hope thats the right term). Thanks again and hope to catch you on the air. I get some w.virginia skip, not much but thats where my coon hounds from! KD2RYS

Well, that is actually an inverted L not a dipole. And it works wonderfully on 80, 40, and 15 meters. And I made that card with the old Windows paintbrush app. Not really sure why, but I get a lot of compliments on that card, not really sure they are deserved.

A CB Omni works well on 10 meters if you have an aluminum one you can adjust the length on by sliding the elements. If using something like an A99, the internal tuner in your 7300 may bring it into range.

Im using a sirio 2016 5/8 wave and the 7300 makes it work but what i want is something more dual-purpose. Inverted v or l

Welcome to Amateur Radio but I would not waste a single penny on the ARRL. It is obvious that they are NOT serving the interest of Amateur Radio in the United States when you see that they have about 20% of the licensed operators as members. If they were doing a great job then many more would support them but they are badly out of contact with those whom they say they serve. ARRL = Amateur Radios Real Losers.
