Do double side band radios such as the regency imperial sound a little different on AM than a regular radio? I was told they do sound a little different.

The Regency Imperial is both Double Sideband suppressed carrier (DSB Mode), and Double Sideband reduced carrier (AM Mode). On AM the effect is similar to that when a radio is modded for extra "swing" by dropping the carrier but allowing full modulation swing. The Imperial is louder than a typical radio, but it only dead keys around 2 watts. The Tram Titan 2 is also double sideband, but the AM is pretty standard, and not like the Imperial.
