Can anyone tell me what crystal I would need to put a Tram TR27E on channel 30? Thanks in advance!

I think the crystals are 1/2 of the frequency required for that radio just like they are for the Tram Titan IIA. So for Channel 30 which is 27.305 mhz you would want a 13.6525 mhz crystal. Just look a one of the transmit crystals that are in there to be sure. It should be half the value of that channels frequency.

What crystal would be needed to be able to receive channel 30 on the Tram TR27E? Thanks.

That radio uses a separate crystal for each channel for transmitting. It uses the VFO for receive and has a 31.500mhz crystal to set the correct range for the 23 channels. To receive much above channel 23 the crystal would have to be changed to something like a 31.700 mhz. The adjustment cap on the VFO can be turned to change the frequency and you may get it to go to channel 30 if the VFO itself is set to the end of it's travel above 23. To get it to transmit above 23 would require more work than it's worth even if you could find the right parts to do it. The easiest way to get it to transmit on a particular channel is to get the correct transmit crystal and replace one of the others with it.

Popped in a 30 crystal and stretched the receive with the adjustment cap. Worked perfectly in 2 minutes! This radio has massive modulation!
