Hello all! Just picked up this very clean Cb-23. Anyone have one? I plan on recapping it and changing the high wattage carbon resistors. My only issues i have is I think I have two dead crystals 25.325 and 25.405. I will most likely put up a want ad for parts. And yes a previous owner added the 4 pin connector on the front . They acually did a decent job. Currently wired for cobra 4 pin!

Cool looking tube type CB. I like tube type vs newer solid-state CBs. The tubes sound much clearer vs solid-state to my old ears.

Waiting on parts right now the 6az8 tubes which are the if oscillators are questionable. Picked up an old browning over the weekend.

Last place I remember seeing a 6AZ8 was in a Collins ham radio. There is a radio in the shop's basement that looks like that, but says "Lafayette", not Hammarlund. I'll look for it next time I'm down there.
