Does the voltage rating of the ping cap actually have to be 450v! I think there’s only about 260 b there. I could be wrong for sure! If so could I use a 350v ping cap?

I do not know what a 'ping' capacitor is or your radio model, but likely tube type. Capacitor has to be 450 volts for the high voltage B+ due to the solid-state rectifier produces higher voltage until the tubes heat up 11 seconds after you turn on the radio. I do not know if you are describing the high voltage B+ cap.

A quick look at the Mark 3 receiver schemo shows the screen grid circuit running at 220 Volts DC. A 350-Volt cap should be perfectly okay there.
