Hi everyone , I've been looking at the Browning Golden Eagle Mark III , IV , and V radios for many years . I always wanted one of them , but never jumped at the chance to grab one ... partially because I like to know that if I'm spending a lot of money on a radio , that it will work properly when I get it ... and then partially because I have no idea what the right price for one of these radios is . When ever I see them online , their prices are literally all over the place . I don't even usually see one price over & over to make me say that might be the average cost of them.
Which brings me to the purpose of this post , does anyone out there have any idea what the average pricing of these radios is ?

You're looking at a range between $700 - $1,000 on either the Mark III, Mark IV or Mark IVA, depending on condition and model.
1 major tip: Avoid (like the plague) an Ebay seller named superhawkwss6. You'll thank me later.

Pretty simple concept If you buy one off Ebay or a Ham-Fest, or Craiglist ect....... in most cases it will need quite a bit of work, if not being completely restored. Lets just say you pay $350.00 for a set of Mark III, then ship the radio to a tech $125.00 shipping one-way, then the tech evaluates what the radios need, and his repair bill is $450.00, then another $125.00 shipped back home, low and behold you now have a $1,050.00 Browning Mark III. Also remember 45-years ago the radio sold for $699.00 new Enjoy the Collectable Browning Tube Radios, Mattbee

When I got it I discovered it had been recapped. It’s been used every day and has been flawless. I got lucky and I know it.

Lucky for me , whatever I may end up buying anytime down the road ... I'm lucky enough to have an excellent radio repairman that lives close by . So there won't be any shipping costs .
