So, my MK2 Has a very weak ping. Replaced the cap and the 2.2k resistor and still very anemic. Suggestions appreciated! Thanks! Radio talks and receives great by the way.

Try placing the mic closer to the receiver speaker with squelch turned down.

More than one thing can hold back the ping. First, check the resistance value of the squelch control. Should be close to 10k ohms measured across the two outside lugs.
If it's too far out of whack, this causes ping troubles.
And there is a 100k 1-Watt resistor, brown-black-yellow. It will be on a tie strip near the 12AX7 squelch tube. The only other 1-Watt resistor is under the speaker-amp tube, so the size is what will identify it. Can't remember the schematic callout. One side of this resistor will be over 200 Volts, the other side should be close to 50 Volts. If it's less than 40 or over 60, this could be part of the problem. Just measuring the resistor with the power off, and the filter caps bled down may reveal that its resistance value has drifted.
Those two items top the list of usual suspects assuming, of course that you have full volume while receiving. If you don't have that, the ping audio will also be weak.
