You can put me down for one Browning MKIII, one Tram d201 handwired, one Tram d210 second gen. and one Tram Titan II. BTW all of the Trams are currently working fine but the Browning has no receive.

Seems like everyone has the proper premium vintage rigs. Things have changed a little here. I have two Mark III sidebanders, one early, one late. A Golden Eagle, no Mark designation, and a series 2 (R27, S23). of course some aren't 23 channel anymore?? Also an S23 transmitter for parts.

I began collecting them in 1997, got disgusted with the costs involved in getting them up to snuff, and traded the 23/27, a Mark II, two Mark IIIs and a Mark IV to Bad Bob at WGS Radio Ranch for my 60' tower, a 2980, a 2970, and various odds and ends. Since then, guess I felt I needed some more punishment and dove into the keeper Mark IV....so far it's worked out pretty good but will get gone through when I get tired of running it.

I have a Mark III and a Mark IVA, both have recently been to Barketts for over hauls. Pulled them out of the attic after years of storage. I figured it was about time to get them both back on the air.

Bought my first D201A when I was in high school in the 80's and been running Browning and Tram ever since. I went temporarily insane and took my hammy ham tests a couple years ago, but I am being honest when I say that ham radio is not all it's cracked up to be. I made a choice back in late January of this year to go back to being a CBer with my Tram and Browning. I am happy to report that I don't miss ham radio at ALL! CB+SWL+SCAN=HAPPY HOBBY

Purchased my first Mark IV about the time they went under. And then got a D201A. I never kept anything very long back when I was a kid. I worked just to pay for those radios.

I used to have a D201 back in the early 80's and wished I never got rid of it. Now I have 1 Browning Golden Eagle(mark1), 2 mark III's, 1 mark IV and a D201 all acquired in the last year. My bench is growing and my pocket book is shrinking.

A 180 amp can be found, but finding one in good shape that hasn't been butchered is a little tougher.
Hang in there, you'll find one.

hello, cbrown. I bid on one up too $200.50 and it went on to $255. I only want it to complete the set, but there are obviously lots of collectors out there with more money than me. Bonehead

It seems some people just like to bid. A few years ago there were huge bidding wars on Astatic desk microphones, with prices that *almost* had me considering selling a few to make some extra $$$.
The prices have since dropped back down to 'reasonable' levels.

Count me in. I recently bought my first Browning, an R27 S23..... What a fun radio to run, and is that big "On The Air" sign cool or what??? I also like being able to flip the radio on, fire off a ping or two, and seeing if any friends answer.
