Ahh. These almost never go bad unless someone zaps it doing a channel conversion with the power cord still in the wall, or with a faulty hookup.
Are you sure it's bad?
That part is pretty far down the list of things that just "go bad" in a Cobra 2000.
The original chip installed in that model was a MB8734. That version has pin 10 disabled. Changing from that chip to a 8719 is most often done for the purpose of adding channels.
Just what is the symptom, anyway?
