I've had the radio several months and until last night have ahd ver little issues tat changing a few tubes didn' fix (so far). I foind some friends on 30 LSB talking. I tuned the receive in (like the instruction book says) and started talking. I noticed while I was talking a clicking coming from the transmitter. I know that on sideband you can't pause too long or the relay will unkey so i was talking non stop until I was finished with what I was saying to prevent this. But even so I was hearing the clicking noise that sounded like the relays unkeying while was talking. The people I was talking to said my modulation was going up and down and they heard ckicking noises when this happened. otherwise they said when the modulation was up, the radio sounded incredibally good. Do you guys know of any adjustment or tubes that can be changed out that might help. I believe I have alsreay changed out all the 12ax7's and the final 7558. I can't rememeber all te tubes I changed out, but again, Is there any adjustments that can be made that will hold the relay keyed as long as i'm talking while on ssb? Any ideas are greatly appreciated because i learn from them all. !!!! Thanks, you are all a great bunch of folks.

The relay in the transmitter should stay engaged as long as you have the mic keyed. I would look and see if the relay is actually unkeying and if it is you have voltage problem in the power supply somewhere caused by the higher SSB peaks.

Just wanted to check and make sure you had the SSB switch on the amp on to add delay to the relay. I just wanted to make sure it was the radio and not the amp clicking. Not trying to make light of your operator skills either. BC

Solved the problem for the SSB transmit. The swith was not used much and after a little exercise to clean the contacts and it works perfectly now
