did you read his whole listing he says he builds or rebuilds super scanner antennas too

Penetrator, I can see rebuilding. The Super Scanner was not much of a antenna in my book. And you sure wouldn't want to run any power through it. Poof!

Penetrator, I can see rebuilding. The Super Scanner was not much of a antenna in my book. And you sure wouldn't want to run any power through it. Poof! Depending on which revision of the Super Scanner you had, you could get away with running decent power. The later version that did not have the coaxial matching stub would not take more than about 50 watts in the omni mode. In the "beam" mode, it would still take around 1kw or so. You had to be careful not to accidently-on purpose change the direction while keyed with high power, or you'd risk welding the relay contacts........ But overall, I agree that the Super Scanner was not all that great of an antenna to begin with.
