No legal for use on CB radio. Definitely not. But have you listend around the band lately? Not too many people are concerned with legality........

Well sure. Digital audio is very bandwidth dependent. The wider the bandwidth, the faster the sampling rate, you can use, and the better the sound. With a measly 6 Khz of bandwidth to work with, you'll get sound similar to those Push to talk cell phones that sound like you're underwater.
