looking for info on this radio cant seem to locate its origin or how to tune and peak or channel conversion

The only thing I came up with is that the Virage line is made by Ranger. Can't find anything on that model number. Did you try contacting Ranger?

have not tried that yet sounds like a good idea didnt even know that it was a ranger type radio learn something new every day thanks grumpy and nice site
ps im also a proud owner of a screaming eagle with golden eagle d-104 sitting at the cb shop the guy saying it will cost 75 to 100 dollars to retube the beast so im contemplating

From what I understand they make the boards for those radios. Whether they produce them I don't know but it is worth a shot asking since there is no information out there on them!
That sounds about right for re-tubing, it's worth the money

I got a Virage and this is the first post where someone else has one as well. I have a VX-39, I need to get a frequency counter. So many knobs and I am not sure what does what. PA/FM/AM A/B/C HI/LO I have learned that HI on the A is regular 40 channel AM.
