I just got this thing a few days ago and I wasn't sure what to expect.I'm used to the D-201 or my Browning so I guess you could say I'm spoiled.Well let me tell you this.I'm far from disipointed with this rig.I love the thing.I really didn't think that it would be that great of a rig but man was I wrong about this thing. The receive is incridible, every bit as nice to listen to as my 201 or the bird. The audio I was told is every bit as loud and clear as my 201.I never thought that was possible. But just for the record and let it be known....THE TITAN IV LIVES IN BERKS COUNTY!!!...Gota love these old rigs... I think some of those old radios really outshine anything available out there today. Rig looks sweet!

No doubt in my mind.I bought a new Connex CX 33 that new base they just came out with awhile back because I wanted a new rig for 11 meters. What a joke..I had it 10 hours and took the thing back the very next day.I have never seen such a piece of junk.Than they have the nutts to ask $525.00 for this thing.Nothing like the old Brownings,Trams..Any of the old tube rigs can't be beat...

To be fair, there were some mediocre radios made back then too. But you could find great ones. Today its tough to find one that stands out from the rest.

I think the best basic 11 meter rig made today is the Galaxey 2547.I had one of those and Isold it and really miss that rig. They were 40 channel SSB basic CB radio with dual mosfett finals. What a great reciver as well.Very good rigs.I think they go for around $350.00.But built very well...

Ya, it was a nice rig. Not a lot of space on the front to mount anything, but lots of room inside.
