Delusional doesn't even begin to describe his thought process. He should have looked at similar sales and gotten a better idea of what those rigs go for used.

Now THAT one MIGHT be worth the $750 price to a rabid "only buys new" collector, but $1995 is serious "I'm on crack" thinking......

that guy is such a scam artist probaly the biggest in the cb radio section of ebay he has all these historic radios from all over especially browning gear. He says he was a browning dealer for 30 yrs, well lets think about that browning labs did not start making cb's till 1959-1960 and ended production in 1979 when they went under. If you believe that I have a bridge in brooklyn for sale for only $5000, wow! what a deal, once in a life time deal so you better act quick.

Take a page from the real estate market. Putting $100,000 into your kitchen won't increase the value of your house $100,000...... Ultimately free market 1-0-1 says that something is worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. Night Ranger is right. He'll be keeping that radio.

Mr $1995.00 is the same guy who had the Browning test mule for sale. He thinks everything he sells is worth triple what the real price should be. Must be nice in his world, I guess he is not aware of the ression right now. Maybe he works for the government??

I bet that caps will start to fail shortly after powering up the new in box one. As per the first listing that's worth every penny, he claims the radio has a Nores channel kit in it. I've never heard of them. That might be the same kit that's in my 2000. It covers 26.815 to 27.995 and has the RC channels too. The display above the tuning knob also reads the channel number, like 55, 99 etc. The kit is a perf board full of resistors and is mounted behind the cnannel window, I never saw one like that. Heck, my radio is clean, loaded with frequencies and even has two matching speakers, big money on Ebay? I doubt it.

My 2000 has the channels, matching speaker, and looks like new. Would i sell it for 750.00??? No. More like $275.00 to $300.00 and even at $300.00 thats a bit of a stretch. Around here a nice 2000 will maybe get $275.00. Back in '01 i paid 275.00 for a 2000 that came with 2 speakers and a matching ca 72 desk mic.

There ARE certain people to stay away from on Ebay....
And if you cannot tell from their ads who they are, then you should not be buying high-end radios on Ebay....
I auctioned off a D201A about six months ago, and got a good price for it. About $250. It was not perfect, but it ran pretty good... about a 7 in looks... but needed a good alignment.
The guy who won it put it back on Ebay the next week for $750 starting price... Saying it had been in his collection for years, and had been "rebuilt" by "factory technicians".
I don't know how much he got for it... realy don't care... I was happy with my price... BUT it just go's to show you.....
