Well , this radio is a Browning Golden Eagle Mark III with a gold Golden Eagle mic, I found it on Craig list locally, and went to look at it , the fella that owned it passed away in 1982 and the family put it in a box in the garage all these years. I fired it up and it transmits and receives, remarkably it is in nice condition , no scratches, dents or anything. The kid who sold it to me said the micro switches were for extra channels and I just figured out how they function on the reciever, real cool radio and I have got a lot to learn about it. Chester 221 Central Oregon Sounds like a great find. The Golden Eagle MK III was a legendary radio in the 1970's. Everyone wanted one, few could afford them back then (Roughly $800 in 1970's dollars). I have one myself, that I have lovingly restored and I enjoy every opportunity I get to use it. I you ever have any trouble with it, there are several guys on this forum who have years of experience with them, so you won't have to wonder for too long......
