This Dak has been in an old CB'ers closet for over 25 years. It's in real nice un-hacked condition. Loud audio (6L6) & great receive. The beat up old Comstat had louder modulation, & better receive with way less bleed over! I choose the Lafayette over the Dak!

Those old Panasonic chassis radios are hard to beat for warm audio, and tube front ends are tough to overload with strong signals. I still love my old Comstat........

the lafayettes are reliable work horses, just like any panasonic chassis, lift the hood all are very similar, i have had good luck with them. the daks are nice to look at! i have had 2 and you never know if they are going to work every time you turn them on, they have a reputation for this. built in korea, cold solder joint problems, e.t.c. ,, jimbo

Daks were very nice to look at, and they look great on the shelf. Lafayettes always worked when you turned them on.

Ive never owned a Dak but id like to try one out. I like my old Lafayettes and Cobra cams. They are hard to beat. Most of my old tubie rigs i got off of Ebay and most of them have needed very little to make them run. I guess im just lucky and i end up with nice stuff.
