I saw this on ebay when browsing the amps section. This is only the 3rd D&A T-600 I have ever seen, and it does look clean except for the decal on the front. I have never seen one in person but do own a D&A Phantom. If I recall correctly, someone on this forum (Husker?) had bought one of these that turned out to be a nightmare for him. Anyway....here is the link and he claims he saw 1500w out. I would not say that he is intentionally being misleading...perhaps his SWR is high and he has a VERY loose meter and is getting false readings. No way have I ever seen anything close to this type of output from basically the same amp (Phantom). Buyer beware!!!! Maybe he's reading the wrong scale... It is in great shape, I'll say that for it.

I also do not understand how it can be a triple stage as he claims since it only has the one 250 switch, where as mine has a single toggle for hi and low power and another for 250 on and off ? Strange to me, but like I said, this is only the 3rd time I ever saw a picture of one of these T-600 amps.

If he put a filter before the meter I'm sure he would see a lot less.

It's appears to be a triple stage. Same switches the phantom triple stage has. The part I like about the 1500 watts is, that is what he saw before replacing the tubes. So it is obviously putting out even more now.

So it is obviously putting out even more now. You think that unit is capable of 1500 watts? The Phantom gets it's third 'stage' by dropping the voltage supply to the tubes.

What will 2 6LQ6's do on SSB? Marc Depends on many things. Typically, a pair of 'LQ's with 900 volts on the plate and a typical 15-18 watt PEP drive will peak out in the neighborhood of 120 - 150 watts.

Yep, that's about what I see from my Thunderbolt with two 6LQ6 tubes.
