I have some kind of problem going on here. Lately I've been posting but the posts aren't showing up, even after refreshing the page. This afternoon I made a post about the Cobra 29 owner wanting more wattage out of the radio. After I posted there was no box showing to click on to post my reply so I had to click on "modify post", made a change, and then the post reply showed up and it's on the board in that section. Has anyone else had this problem? I was thinking that there might be a problem with this board but I highly doubt that. I'm thinking it's my crummy dial up server or more likely my computer needs wiped clean and set up again. Anyone have some input? This is very frustrating.

Sometimes, as sites upgrade their formats, older browsers donot support the newer protocols and strange things can happen.

I'm using Internet Explorer 6. Everything seems to be working now. thanks for you input, Sandbagger. Tombstone IE 6 is pretty much obsolete these days. I had to upgrade to IE 8 to see all the features on Facebook and Youtube. Or, if your computer is like one of mine, still running Windows 2000, and you can't upgrade to IE 8, I switched to Firefox.

I use Firefox 4.0 for most forums, although there are some I'm using IE 9.
I'd still upgrade your browsers, Tombstone. Firefox is a good one. Stay away from Safari. It reports all your history back to Apple.

My operating system is Windows XP Professional. This computer is old. I bought it refurbished and it took XP by adding more memory sticks. I wonder if I can upgrade to IE9 or Firefox? This seems to be running properly now??

Thanks, Sandbagger. When I get a chance I'll try one of those upgrades.

IE9 is designed to work with Win 7 (and maybe Vista, but no one in their right mind uses Vista). You can still use IE8 with XP. We still have a few systems here running XP that I haven't upgraded yet.
Firefox 4 works on XP, I believe.

Wow. I see that IE is up to IE 10 now. I started to download IE 8 and it claimed that it would take abut five hours. Must be a huge file. It's my crummy cheap dial up server and if I try to download a file that size, before I get it my server shuts me off of the internet and I lose what download I got. I'm now going to try and download firefox, if it's a huge file like the others I'll have to go and buy the disk that I want. When I finally uograde my browser am I going to lose the programs or the program icons on my desk top? Thanks for the advice guys!

Thanks for the advice, guys! I seem to be running smooth now after I ran all of the scans in System Mechanic program. I have a CB friend that's a computer wizard so when I'm ready, I'll let him update my browser.

IE10 is still in preview, which means you can download a 'test drive' copy.
My theory is Microsoft already pays people to do this, and I'm not doing it for them. ;D
From what I hear in the rumor mill, they plan on releasing IE10 with Windows 8 next year.
