well a friend had mention he has had one for years and loves it so i bought one! The MACO V QUAD BASE CB RADIO ANTENNA.. absolutely a great antenna! does anyone else run one of these baby's?

this antenna work very well i like extremely quiet receive and seems to do well, rite now i only have it about 8 feet off the ground but soon to be on the 72' tower!!

o and it only wieghs 8 pounds and you can use the tv antenna rotator if you wanted, i picked up a nos ar22xl for $141 so just figured that would be a little better than the tv antenna rotator..

They are a great antenna. I had mine mounted sideways so i could work mobiles and vertically polarized base stations but that was hard on the rotor. If you mount it sideways you need to add some weight to the other side of the antenna to balance it out for the rotor to work decent.
