Logged into Pete's live feed..My IP DOES start with 69... ;D Skip was in Tuesday from the Pittsburg area and I did holler up your way, Spitfire...after taking briefly to 3030 in Pittsburg...Tonight...a bit different story, actually got to check in live to the CRR...first time in a couple of years...Could hear FIXR in there as well..That B&W DOES really sound sweet and it was nice to hear it coming through my Tram instead of the computer! 73...the Doctor is in.. (I liked the "Paging Dr. Hammer, STAT" )

Yes sir, another fun CRR. Thanks to all that participated. Nice to have a few members from outside the local area from the forum be able to actively participate. Thats the only good to come from all that DX noise. Thanks to Dr Hammer, FIXR and Night Ranger for thier patience and persistance in getting through. Sometimes we get to rag chewing on a topic locally, and we need keep an ear out for you guys. I am glad to make it out your way Dr Hammer, I know it has been a while since I worked you via skip. I am sure listening to the computer is better than nothing but I bet gets ole, better when you can join us live. I really do enjoy running my big ol B&W, it is a "Barker" no doubt. PS, Every chance I get, I tell DX-land to visit Grumpys olde time radio forum.

No problem hearing the locals though. I'm guessing the radiation angle of the beam was not optimal for the short skips we were getting. Didn't seem to matter if I was running the Cobra 139XLR or the Midland 13-898B either..........

I couldn't hear well either on the horizontal dipole. It was pointed northeast.., but I switched to the vertical (Imax) and could hear much better (lots of skip)...Got into the CRR using the IMAX..Go figure..At times, Pete's B&W was giving me 9-10 db. worth of signal...darn good copy! Then the skip switched and all I was getting was Ohio and Tennesee..

Makes all the ball busting lifting, cleaning, tube replacement, rewiring, getting shocked (635vdc),tuning and burnt fingers from soldering worth every bit of trouble. Thanks for the report Dr., I do appeciate it. Would not be any fun if there was not others, whom understand it, to share with. I get the feeling, its a barkin, when condx are just right I have an absolute pile-up coming back to me. It is fun and fustrating both at the same time. Especially when I was trying to work the DR or FIXR or Night Ranger, there were too many stations trying to get back to me. 441, with the Heavy Metal Radio

Won't be able to join in tonight's roundup because of work....too bad, I've gotton used to these WED. night get-togethers....there's always next week....maybe I can figure a way to tap into the spew radio feed from the internet on my phone.......now theres an interesting idea... Hmmmm...theres an idea..A mobile app for spew radio for Android.... ;D Yea, I tried using my tablet to access spew radio, but it can't handle mms streams, and on Spew Radio 2 with the tunable receiver, it can't handle the JAVA, so I screwed either way. But hey, a streaming audio app would be nice.

Sandbager is there a how to on spew II. Marc I don't know of an "instruction sheet", however, you have to turn it on. Then just mess around. You cannot hurt anything. BTW, first log on has control, any users after the first log on are only passive. You must have Java enabled.
