This is where my recently acquired R2700/S9 Browning came from (the one at the lower left of the pic)..I am currently trying to "negotiate" his seperation from several other items, including the pair of Cobras (a Cam88 and a Cam98) plus mikes and the D&A Warrior power supply sitting on the floor (100 bucks!!) ;D. All the stuff is more or less in working order-original condition...I'm also trying to get him to tell me where the RF deck to the Warrior is...He swears he has it "somewhere".. Theres also a pair of nice project cases with front mounted handles..hmmmmm!

I don't have any use whatsoever for a D&A warrior, but a buddy in Wichita is in need of parts for his 12 tube Phantom and this would be a bargaining chip I could use to get him to come off a really nice GREY cased RAIDER I've been wanting!

The only way we ever found to make the Warrior into a workable amplifier was to bypass the four "baldy" pre-driver tubes, and feed the drive power directly into the next four 'driver' tubes.
This turned it into a 12-tube Phantom in practice.
The original setup of four driving four driving eight was just too much of a good thing. Too much gain in one cabinet. You couldn't buy a radio small enough to prevent it from being overdriven.
But a 12-tube Phantom with four transformers in the external power-supply box would rock!
Even with that plan, a full set of tubes that match well enough to be reliable is a pile of money.
What something costs and what it's worth are often not the same thing.

Whats that big dual tuner boat anchor down in the middle?
I like the Johnson. Is that a 223 or a 250?
Also looks some nice mobiles...maybe a Robyn or Royce SSB rig in there?
Nice big tube tester. Looks like a 707 series B & K? I'd love to have a mutual conductance tester.
I'll get my B & K Cobra Cam 88 and 98 runnin' one of these days. Both nice rigs for sure. Hope you can pry them from his hands. Sparky out.

(I believe it works). I have already acquired the r2700/s9 combo and the D&A warrior power supply...am working on some other deals with him too...just gotta be patient..
