I picked up a courier 23 channel today for $5. It looks good. It was priced $15, but when we plugged it in it did not show any signs of life. The antique store accepted $5 for it. I switched it over to DC on a power supply and it lit up. Went back to AC and it lit up. It has a 1/4" mic plug, so I'll have to get home to put a mic on it (yes, I have one - old D104). I had no antenna on it so do not yet know if it receives. If I don't keep it, I have a friend who will give me back my $5 for it. It is exactly like this one, and looks as good.

That Courier was a nice rig back in the day. I had a friend who had one, and it sounded good, and I like the styling of it as well.

It's not a tube type unit, but I don't think I am hurt with a $5 purchase. I think it will operate, but until I an antenna and mic on it I won't know.
