I have a president HR2510 and owned it since it was brand new and run it with the stock microphone . Has anyone had any good performance with a particular microphone . I was looking at a Redman Wilson amplified noise canceling microphone . Any input would be appreciated . Attachments:

In most cases I would say a D104. But watch what element head you use. Makes a big diffference. This site had a rather long discussion about which head is best.

If using it as a base, why do you want to use a noise canceling microphone?
A Turner +3 desk mic would work very nicely with the 2510.

I agree with the Turner +3, I ran one with the 2510 I use to have and it worked great!

Looks like i will hunt down a Turner .Took me awhile to get the radios I wanted . Setting up my shack is expensive . I have my computer interest which consumes space in two rooms . Now that I am back into radios I need good equipment ; and have been away from it for 20 years .I won't take money for my rigs ; but will only swap . I am looking at a couple of tube sets I an familiar with fixing .

A Turner +3 isn't that hard of a hunt.

After the first of next year . Stick a fork in me I am done until then . Skip is coming in strong on Lower ssb on channel 38 and it might give me more of an advantage talking to the locals , mostly 10 miles away , whereas I run on a horizontal v dipole .
