Hey Badger, Sparky waivin'
Got to love the "2-fer" offers. I like Cobra CB radios and own several...
RoadTrip (talkie) 21LTD 29LTD 29LX w/RFX-75 CAM88 (tube'r) 98 (tube'r "the bus") 2000GTL
....and probably a few other re-badged units I'm sure, not to mention the Uniden's that probably rolled off the same assembly lines.

I remember these ads very well, it was a great deal to get a base and mobile unit for under $400.00.

What a bargain! From 1979... That just goes to show you how much radios were marked up back then. $379 for a Cobra 142 GTL? Heck the Cobra 2000 retailed for $399 (and most people didn't pay retail). In the later years you could pick up a 142 for under $200.

I love the old ads. I just picked up several boxes of old cb radio and ham mags from the 30s to the 70s. Cant wait to take some time and start looking through them and see the old ads like that.
