That' incredibly cool!
Last one of those we fixed up here was at least 15 years ago. Had the SSB adapter bolted to the side of it. The thing was so large we nicknamed it "The Queen Mary", after the boat that's too big to sail.
Sounded great on AM, but I was never happy with the SSB audio. Good thing the owner only wanted it for AM.
With new transformers it might be good for another 50 years or so.

Ready for the smoke test Yea, you were right, you probably should have pulled those other transformers/chokes and painted them while it was down. Hopefully no smoke escaped when you powered it up. But I'm sure by the time you read this, you'll have already talked to the guys in Europe and got the thumbs up........
