Sorry if this has been asked and answered before, but I'm curious to know if any of the PC board based D201's were manufactured in the U.S. or if all of them were manufactured in Mexico. I'll occasionally see an old D201 selling on ebay where the "Assembled in Mexico" label is conspicuously missing from photos of the rear of the unit.

The first production run of the circuit-board D201 was built in New Hampshire. If there was more than one run built before it moved south of the border, I don't know.
The US-built circuit-board D201 has the "diamond" logo badge on the speaker, just like the previous open-chassis "hand-wire" version. It pays to lift the lid and look inside before you make an offer on a radio with the "diamond" badge. That logo may or may NOT indicate what is inside. Had one customer who had not looked inside the radio before he brought it to me. Proudly announced he had finally found a 'hand-wire'. I opened the lid and pointed to the circuit boards. Looked at me as if I had shot his dog.
The "snake" Tram logo badge appears only on Mexico-made radios AFAIK.
