This Robyn has a bad 6BQ5 tube in the yellow. I have a spare that is 75% good, right smack in the middle of the green. Ebay prices are all over the place. I want to charge him what it would cost me. Since he is only paying for the parts at exact cost. I have no idea what I paid for it years ago.
Is $20 fair or too high or too low?

Prices are all over the map, and not just on Ebay. That tube still gets used in guitar amplifiers and tube-type stereo amplifiers. The market for those uses is still active, and you'll see matched sets, or "cryogenically processed" tubes for stupid prices. Shop around. That radio won't benefit from the whocka-whocka hype aimed at guitar players or tube-stereo hobbyists.
Oh, and don't use a 7189 in that radio. For 99 out of 100 things that use a 6BQ5 they are the same. But in the Robyn, and other Panasonic-made radios they hijacked an "unused" pin of the tube to tie some parts to that lug of the tube socket. Saved them the trouble of adding another solder lug to support that connection.
But the 7189 has one tiny difference from the 6BQ5. That pin is connected inside the tube to the screen grid.
Oops.
If yours was assembled this way a 7189 tube will get you some smoke as soon as the tube warms up.
Stick with either a 6BQ5 or "EL84", the european number for the same item. Either will work. Just stay away from any tube marked "7189" for this model.
